Last week I was involved in judging at D&AD. The jury included Karin Fong (Imaginary Forces), Sophie Lutman (Lambie-Nairn), Darius Ghanai (Lichtrausch), Olivier Schaack (Canal+), Matt Scarff (BSkyB) and Adam Jenns (Mainframe).
I spent a very interesting day viewing entries for the TV & Cinema Advertising Section and will share my thoughts shortly. See some event photos below:
Sanky, D&AD President
Below my earlier post from Feb 11, 2011
D&AD Awards hardly need any introduction. For almost five decades they have recognised some of the best and most innovative creative work, and by now have left an impressive and considerable legacy.
Recognising brilliance in commercial creativity, and there’s been a few notable projects in the past few months, it’s almost certain this year’s event will not disappoint.
For me personally it will be even more special, as I will be judging as a member of the TV & Cinema Communications Jury.
The winners will be announced at the D&AD Awards Ceremony and Dinner on 16 June in The Artillery Garden at the HAC, and their work will be included in the D&AD annual, an unrivalled source of creative inspiration.
The showreel below features a pick of the successful work from the 2010 Awards along with insights from the judges on why they chose the work they did.
(Insert showreel when ready).
And here you can watch the official message from the “president” of the D&AD Awards 2011.
Watch this space where soon I will provide my own take on this year's entries and reveal my thinking behind our judging decisions, whatever they will be…
