The Morrison Studio DVD Releases What a bumper month for us, as 4 of OUR LATEST TITLES GO OUT ON DVD within days of each other!

With the World Cup having come to a close this weekend. We expect many of you will fancy a night in without football, to watch one of the many great films being released on DVD this summer.

Fantastically for us at The Morrison Studio. 4 films we have created the title sequences for go out on UK release in the next few weeks, starting with John Roberts' Day of the Flowers releasing on the 21st July, followed by Pascal Chaumeil's A Long Way Down going out on the 28th July, finally with both John Michael McDonagh's Calvary and Biyi Bandele's Half of a Yellow Sun being released on the 4th August.

It's a great choice of entertainment for you too! With a mix of genre's to make you laugh or cry, smile or simply stare at the screen...

Calvary: Exclusive New Trailer

It's been a while since we last blogged about, and completed the titles sequence for John Michael McDonagh's new film 'Calvary'. But we are absolutely delighted to see the exclusive new trailer released on Twitter this week through the film's official profile @CalvaryFilm. Additionally we see the film has announced its' World Premiere at next years Sundance Film Festival, which we very much look forward to seeing.

Sundance celebrates its 30th anniversary in 2014, having introduced global audiences to some of the most groundbreaking films of the past three decades. The festival starts on Jan 16 and runs through to the 26th at Park City - Utah.

We are delighted to announce that we have been awarded the titles for John Michael McDonagh's new film 'Calvary' and pen to parchment is underway. Brendan Gleeson Calvary

'Calvary' is a black comedy-drama, telling the tale of Father James Lavelle (Brendan Gleeson), a good-natured priest intent on making the world a better place who is continually disheartened by the spiteful inhabitants of his small country town. When his life is threatened during confession, he is forced into battle with the dark forces that start to close in on him.

Calvary Cast

Also written by John, the film stars Brendan Gleeson (In Bruges), Chris O'Dowd (The Boat That Rocked) and Aiden Gillen (The Dark Knight Rises), as well as Dylan Moran (Shaun of the Dead) and is John's second following on from his director debut film 'The Guard'.

In a recent interview John said;

It is with great excitement, bordering on tumescence, that I am looking forward to collaborating once more with Ireland's greatest actor, Brendan Gleeson, and working with the finest ensemble cast ever assembled in the history of Irish cinema.

We are really pleased to be part of this production and look forward to sharing updates with you as we proceed.
