Manuela Noble

Believe - In Cinemas July 25

Believe - Theatre of Dreams We couldn't be any more excited to see our dear friend Manuela Noble's film 'Believe' directed by David Scheinmann, get its cinema kick-off.

It's some time ago since we created the title sequences for Manuela (Wachafilm), and producers Ben Timlett and Bill Jones (Bill and Ben Productions). So we are delighted to see after a greatly received festival circuit, which saw the film pick-up Winner of the Golden Eye Award at the Zurich Film Festival, 'Believe' going out UK nationwide July 25.

Manuela let us know that the film will also be screening at 80 schools across the UK on July 15, as part of the 'In to Film' government sponsored program. To then be followed with the US and Canada release on September 12, in all cities that have a major league soccer team - including NYC, Chicago, Toronto, Vancouver and Montreal.

With the Brazil World Cup only coming to a close just days before, we think the timing couldn't be any better!

Believe Titles

We had great fun designing both the main and end title sequences, and as always a real pleasure playing alongside VFX supremo Alexis Haggar and his team at Lexhag on creating a look and feel in keeping with the 80's style in the film. Dean and I are especially pleased with the identity we created for the main title logo, having researched the genre and influences of the eighties. The final whistle came from the producers with...

"It is unanimous, we all love it! We believe it's a winner!!! Thank you so much!".

Man of the match though surely has to go to film editor Julian Rodd ('Absolutely Anything'), for a great 1, 2 into the back of the net! Set-up from a great pass from cinematographer Gary Shaw ('Moon').

'Believe' has been a great film to be involved with. Boasting a great cast, coached by Brian Cox (Sir Matt Busby), with new talent Jack Smith (Georgie Gallagher) scoring lots of goals.

Already receiving some great reviews, such as The Upcoming: (http://www.theupcoming.co.uk/2014/06/10/believe-movie-review/). We think you'll all going to enjoy this full 96 minutes, without penalties. A real match to all 'coming of age' films.

Having received the news direct from Producer Manuela Noble last night, we are delighted to be able to share our congratulations to all that were involved in the making of the film.

Believe Zurich Film Festival

The award came from votes from 2,500 children and parents who came to see the film. With an average of 2.88 points from an available 3 points score... 'Believe' won by a landslide.

Even better - The audience watched the film in English with one live narrator reading all of the dialogue in German, whilst all the other films in the category were originally in German. A great result you'll all agree.

Here's the official trailer for those that haven't yet seen it. Please enjoy...

Believe screens at Cannes

'Believe' in the Theatre of Dreams

Theatre of Dreams Believing in dreams is a very important concept within the narrative of 'Theatre of Dreams'. Which is why the title has been changed to 'Believe' to best reflect the film.

We finished the newly titled sequence which we also created the off-screen branding for, only last week in time for today's world premier screening in Santa Monica, California. Producer Manuela Noble, who is co-hosting today's event with Gary Smith of Intandem Films, told us "We had to change the title because people who didn't know what Theatre of Dreams was, thought the film had something to do with the theatre, maybe Shakespeare, A Midsummer Night's Dream, and that it sounded 'high brow', which is the last thing we wanted".

AMC Screenings and Soho House West Hollywood Screening Room

Today's event is for the US buyers and tomorrow sees another screening at Soho House, West Hollywood. With next week rolling on for AFM (American Film Market) screenings at the AMC Santa Monica, Manuela went on to tell us "This is a film for everyone, with themes that effect us all, it is for the whole family, young and old. So we chose a title that would speak to an international audience we hope to attract".

We wish Manuela and the team the very best from the next few days, and look forward to hearing a great response for a film we all 'believe' in.

A Liar's Autobiography premiers tonight

A Liar's Autobiography Day 6 of the 56th BFI Film Festival sees the premier tonight of 'A Liar's Autobiography: The Untrue Story of Monty Python's Graham Chapman'.

Our very own New Business Manager Annabel Wright will be attending the premier with her husband and dear friend of ours Philip Bulcock, who also appears in the film as the voice of David Sherlock along with Monty Python's John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Graham Chapman as various voices within the film.

'Liar's' has been Directed by Jeff Simpson, Bill Jones and Ben Timlett, who we are currently creating the title sequence for 'Theatre of Dreams' which they have also produced with Manuela Noble through their production company Bill and Ben Productions.

The film animates Graham Chapman's hilarious cod life story A Liar's Autobiography, not only in capturing the original but in featuring some insight into Chapman's life between the tale's surreal flights of fancy. The animation in the film has been done by 14 different animation studios to tell the story, switching from one animation style to another.

André Jacquemin who we featured in a blog back in July this year, has been responsible as the music editor and supervising sound editor for the film which gets it's nationwide UK release on 25 January 2013.

We wish them every success with tonight's premier and with the films release.
