In a career spanning over 30 years in design and with a rapidly increasing list of feature film and TV title sequences and branding projects to his credit. Dean has worked with some of the world's most notable film directors, producers and influential designers of our time.
Dean is a long term creative partner and art director at the Studio. He has worked on classic titles such as Enemy at the Gates, High Fidelity and the critically acclaimed The Constant Gardener.
During his career, Dean has worked on VFX designs with Sam Mendes on Skyfall; the title sequences for HBO's Muhammad Ali's Greatest Fight directed by Stephen Frears; Morgan Spurlocks’ One Direction feature documentary This is Us; Biyi Bandele’s Half of a Yellow Sun and Fifty; and Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, Dark Shadows and Sweeney Todd. He worked closely with both Lana and Andy Wachowski on Jupiter Ascending which including VFX rebuilds of the Warner Bros., Village Roadshow and RatPac brand idents.
Dean has also been responsible for the creative direction on projects for global brand giants such as Coca-Cola, L’Oreal, Fox’s Confectionery, Microsoft, and eBay Advertising; award winning media and production companies such as Two Cities Television, Shareman Media, Redshift Strategy, and Daybreak Pictures, as well as personal branding projects for renowned individuals, such as 60s celebrity photographer Terry O’Neil, actor and director Woody Harrelson, film editor Mick Audsley (Interview with the Vampire) and Zaytoun director Eran Riklis, to name but a few.
Honored as a BAFTA Guru in 2015, Dean's latest work includes Sky Atlantic's Riviera; John Michael McDonagh's War on Everyone; Eran Creevy's latest Collide; and Clio Barnard's Dark River. He is currently working on Mamma Mia 2: Here We Go Again, Patrick Melrose for Sky and Showtime, and A Very English Scandal for BBC1.
